
Saudi Arabia strict laws: There are very few countries which have laws for the death penalty. Saudi Arabia is far ahead in terms of the death penalty because of its strict laws. This year, a record 101 foreign nationals were executed in Saudi Arabia.
The latest case is of a Yemeni citizen who was hanged for drug trafficking. With this, a record has been set for hanging foreign citizens there, which is the highest till date.

According to the latest report of Amnesty International, among the 101 foreigners hanged in Saudi Arabia this year, Pakistan had the highest number of citizens at 21. After that, 20 citizens of Yemen, 14 from Syria, 10 from Nigeria, 9 from Egypt, 8 from Jordan and 7 from Ethiopia have been hanged. Similarly, 3 citizens each from Sudan, India and Afghanistan and 1 citizen each from Sri Lanka, Eritrea and Philippines were hanged.
A total of 274 people were hanged this year. This year, in the month of September alone, the highest number of prisoners were hanged in the last 30 years.
Human rights organizations strongly condemned this.
All human rights organizations have strongly condemned the increasing cases of executions. The organizations have now proposed to the international community to put pressure on Saudi Arabia to improve its judicial system. Along with this, changes in the judicial system can ensure fairness and transparency in the case of foreign citizens.
